In Luster, Jackson (Justin Herwick) works in a record store and longs to be a poet. Jackson is obsessed with Billy (Jonah Blechman) a guy he met at a party who can’t be bothered and is oblivious to the guys who do want him: Derek (Sean Thibodeau), a customer in the record store, and Sam (Shane Powers), his straight friend who owns the record store who’s having major problems dealing with his attraction. And then Jackson’s hot cousin Jed (B. Wyatt) shows up drawing Jackson’s interest and tempting the local lesbians to go straight. A fair amount of comedic set ups, but not a happy movie.
Skin and Bone
Skin and Bone (1996) follows Harry (B. Wyatt), Dean (Alan Boyce), and Billy (Garrett Scullen), three male prostitutes who work for a female pimp who keeps a tight reign on her boys. When they try to leave and go on to knew lives, they find themselves under her brutal thumb. If the DVD quality were a bit better, the eye candy might save the film, but as it is, it’s a bit long and a bit slow.
