Hewlett’s character Patrick decides to kill his sister’s fiance (McGillion) who is the star of a sci-fi show where the sister is a make up artist, when he suspects that the man he already doesn’t like is plotting to kill his sister. McGillion puts in an appearance in drag as his aunt, a police detective who comes to investigate. There’s also a brief appearance by Christopher Judge (Teal’c from Stargate SG1)

Also, it made for a great way for them to save money on the special effects budget.
